Beetle Disapointment

Updated: May 17, 2019

I know it is hard when your pet dies. Mine did on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. It was hard to see her dead. My family lit a special candle to commemorate her life. Tomorrow my family will have a strawberry walnut smoothie because those were Scorpena’s (my beetle's) favorite foods. We will keep Scorpena’s body forever.

Fondly,

Beetle Girl

Beetle Mom's Note: We have no way of knowing how old Scorpena was when we got her. We think she died of old age. We had her for three years. Our other beetle, Scorpean, seems to be in great health. We're not sure why Scorpena died--she appeared to slow down a bit, forget who Beetle Girl was, and then was dead a few days later. She just looks like she's asleep. We all cried when Beetle Girl found her. She was definitely one of the world's most beloved ironclad beetles. I've contacted the person we bought her from, and she said she'll be selling ironclad beetles again in May. We hope to add a few more beetles to our family then.

Rest in Peace, Scorpena. You are so very loved.
